Scans, projects and the viewer
Once you sign in you are on the home screen. Everything your company has scanned is here.
The two tabs
- All-Scans
- Every scan your company has, newest first.
- Projects
- Folders that group scans — by building, or by customer.
If you have no scans yet you will see “No scans — Scan anything from the app and see it here”. Scanning is done from the phone app, and the scan appears here by itself within a few minutes.
What you can do to a scan
Each scan is a card with a thumbnail. Clicking it opens the viewer. From the card, or from the viewer's toolbar:
- Rename
- Give it a name you will recognise — for example “Patission 154 – shaft A”.
- Add to project
- Puts the scan in a project, or creates a new one (Create new project).
- Share
- Sends a viewing link to someone outside the company.
- Delete
- Moves the scan to the company bin.
Projects
On the Projects tab press New Project, give it a name and confirm. Opening a project shows only its own scans. A scan belongs to one project at a time, but you can move it freely.
Moving around the model
Clicking a scan opens the three-dimensional model of the shaft: the model in the middle, the toolbar above it, and the panels with the figures on the right.
- Mouse wheel
- Zoom in and out.
- Right-click and drag
- Move the model.
- Ctrl and left-click, held
- Moves the model as well.
- Rotate on, then drag with left-click
- Rotate freely around the model.
- Click the orientation cube, top right
- Jump straight to a fixed view: plan, front, side.
Aligning the model — Realign model
The application aligns the model to the shaft walls by itself — you will see “Aligned to the walls automatically”. That alignment is approximate. If the shaft looks crooked, press Realign model and correct the orientation yourself.
Getting this right matters: the width and depth of the shaft, and the horizontal cross-section, are all calculated on top of it.
Units
Next to the toolbar buttons is the unit selector: Millimeters, Centimeters, Meters, Inches, Feet. The choice applies to the whole screen and to every export — measurements, the PDF report and the DXF drawing all follow it.
